God is good.

A little bit about me... I was born in Iowa about 5 million years ago
and had to stay there until my parents developed the wonderful
technology known as California.

My first cave in Los Angeles had an evil beast that lived
downstairs that liked picking on 7 year olds so I quickly became
an introvert. PS3 and  X-Box hadn't been invented yet
(and we
couldn't have afforded either of them anyway!)
so I spent most of
my time looking at the trombone I was supposed to be learning
how to play because I had been denied the request to learn the
violin ("that's for sissies!"). But my next cave was near south
central L.A. and there I learned some things about fighting and/or
running really fast.

Shortly before puberty, I was accepted into the fine arts magnet
center at Pacoima Jr. High, in the San Fernando valley. The
government decided that some of us who lived in the inner city
would be much happier getting up for a nice walk in the cool
morning air, to catch a bus, and ride for an hour or more to school
every day. This was cool unless I missed the bus which made
getting there a very long morning! Honestly though, I loved
Pacoima Jr. The learning environment was top notch for a kid who
was absolutely crazy about acting and dancing!

My parents divorced during my early teens so I got moved around
a lot. I eventually landed in the cool suburb of Altadena, Ca., just
north of L.A., and began the short commute to Blair high school
down the road in Pasadena. I wasn't the best student in school
but I absolutely loved the choir, acting, and especially our spring
shows a.k.a. "Kaleidoscope"!

I joined the Marine Corps not long after high school. That decision
confused everybody I knew. General consensus on me at the time
was "Hollywood or New York". But I needed direction. I mean, I
knew that I wanted to act in TV and Film but felt like I needed
some life experience to help bring depth to characters I might play
in the future. A good plan, in my opinion, and I figured 5 or 6
years in the Corps would be enough. But life moves pretty fast
and it wasn't long before that initial 6 year enlistment turned into
12 years and the next thing I knew I had given 20 years! I traveled
all over the world, met lots of interesting people, saw many
amazing places, learned another language (Japanese), and
developed a deeper awareness and appreciation for my country.

I retired in November 2004, and relocated from California to Texas
with my wife and two sons. I soon began acting classes, landed a
small role in the 2005 indie-film "The Prototype" and followed that
with a couple of commercials. In 2006 I booked more commercial
work and landed roles on the hit Fox series "Prison Break" and a
recurring role on the Lifetime Movie Network's "Inspector Mom".
2007 started off slow but finished with a bang as I landed a small
part on the critically acclaimed series "Friday Night Lights", a
major role in the sci-fi adventure "Fire From Below"  and a cameo
as a preacher in "Rockabilly Baby".

Like I said, God is Good.
My page at the Internet Movie Database website. This was a big deal
to me. I was so excited to get a page in here because, to me, it
represented a professional step in the right direction. Check me out!
